Powoni Hill and Sau inn Garden. The coral on Powoni Hill drops at about 12 meters where we’re usually lucky enough to see groupers. Sau Inn Garden is where we can expect to see moray eels, unicorn fish and barracuda as well as many different kinds of nudibranchs.

All of our dives are tide dependent. With incoming tides we leave 3.5 hours before high tide. With outgoing tides we usually leave at high tide.

There is always a possibility. The conditions are choppy from May until Mid Sept, do if you’re prone to sea sickness definitely bring some medication along (make sure with your doctor that there would be no side effects to stop you diving!) We supply ginger tea on the boats between dives and some people swear by its effects on reducing seasickness.

The current is mostly mild. You will find when we’re diving on an incoming tide your first dives current will be a little stronger. Our dives are generally drift dives, so quite often you will be glad of the current helping to propel you along.

Yes all of our dives are guided with the ratio of 4 divers to one dive guide.

Our boats are 33 ft and run on twin outboard engines, they also have a shade roof to keep everyone comfortable during your surface interval. Each boat can fit a maximum of ten divers and we run at a usual ratio of 4 divers per dive leader. On your surface interval we serve water, tea, fresh fruit /snacks. There are no toilets on our boats.

Absolutely! Why not come along and dive the PADI Discover Scuba Dive course ago. You will spend around 1 – 1.5 hours in our pool with a PADI instructor where you will get used to breathing under water and go over basic skills such as clearing your mask. Afterwards you will go out on a double dive where you will be able to go to 12meters. Depending on the tides and our departure times this may be done over one or two days.

We have a pool at the dive center where we conduct all refreshers and confined water tasks attached to the PADI Open Water Course and PADI Discover Scuba Dive.

All of our boats are equipped with fully stocked first aid kits and emergency oxygen tanks. All dive guides and boat crew are emergency first responders and rescue divers and the closest recompression chamber is one hour away from our dive center in Paje.

The water temperature varies depending on the season. In winter you can expect it to be as low as 24 degrees and in the height of summer it can reach up to 30 degrees.

We can! The Mnemba trip requires a minimum of 3 scuba divers or 4 snorkelers and the Kizimkazi trip requires a minimum of 2 divers. Each trip has a sur charge attached, please see our price list.

Yes, why not get in touch and let us know your budget and the kind of place you’re after and we can look into some options for you as well as schedule in your dives.

Your friend is more than welcome to come along as long as we have space. We do charge the same cost as a snorkeler ($25). When you book your dive with us be sure to book your friend on too!
